For our writing we went on an environmental walk to look for evidence of life. Our evidence of life was a cicada case, which some of the class found on tree trunks around our school. We had to use our powers of observation to describe what we could see, hear, smell, taste and feel. Here is my work.
Cicadas
The cicada has long crusty legs. The cicada has big sharp claws. The cicada smells like trees and leaves. It feels crunchy and fragile so it could be easily broken. It has big dry wings. The maile makes the loudest noise.

ReplyDeleteI like how you have used your observation skills to describe the cicada. Were you looking at an exoskeleton? or an alive cicada? I wonder what colours you noticed?
